Thermally stable polyoxymethylene copolymer

Polyoxymethylene (POM) copolymers (I), obtained by copolymerisation of a mixture of trioxane (TX) and 1,3-dioxolane (DX) in presence of a catalyst comprising boron trifluoride (BF3), a BF3 hydrate or a complex of BF3 with an organic compound containing an oxygen or sulphur atom. The 1,3- dioxolane component (DX) contains not more than 500 ppm by wt. of 2-methyl-1,3-dioxolane (MDX), not more than 15 ppm 1,3-dioxolane peroxide (DXP) (expressed as H2O2) and 10-500 ppm sterically hindered phenol.
