The device comprises a base lighter and a tip lighter, each having a gripping body equipped with an ignition unit in it. The base lighter has a male connector, the tip lighter having a female connector. The male connector is fixedly receivable in the female connector so that the base and tip lighters are connected to each other in series. Each gripping body has an outer surface conforming to a basic golf grip of fingers when the base and tip lighters are connected to each other. The outer surfaces have grooves for receiving fingers in it which are generally axially aligned when the base and tip lighters are connected together.
