<p>The pack, esp. suitable for knives and similar, protectively encloses the cutting edge, leaving the handle free. Self adhesive sheets (1) sandwich the blade and adhere together at the overlap (3,4). At the ends of the sheets (1), a non adhesive grip (5) allows the pack to be pulled open, the blade emerging free of adhesive residues. The sheets may be printable, transparent and coloured in any combination; a single sheet may be used, folded over the blade. There is a slot at the top to suspend it. Opposite, at the handle end, is the non adhesive grip (5). The adhesive is applied continuously or in segments, using a silk screen printing, gravure, or similar process.</p> |
