Socket with integrated terminals and backplane connection with insulation displacing contacts

The socket includes a number of metal contacts (1), each presenting a self-stripping slot, placed at the rear of a body (6). The contacts are arranged in two parallel linear groups (2,3). The socket cooperates with the pins of a modular jack. Electrical conductor extremities are connected to the socket contacts via two mobile lids (4,5), one for each group of contacts. The two lids can rotate in opposite directions about the same axis (6).
