Syringe (1) with retractable needle (10) has a needle (10) m ovable from the working position to the engaged position inside o f the cylinder (4), whilst the handle (8) is equipped with the co mpression spring (28) to press the needle (10) to the engaged pos ition. The needle (10) is placed in the socket (18) placed in the handle (8), which is equipped with the ring (20) positioned in a groove (19) of the socket (18) and abutting the end of a dislodg eable sleeve (36), which during the move to the front removes the ring (20) from the groove (19) and permits a retraction of the n eedle (10) with the socket (18) into the piston (6) under the inf luence of the spring (28).
