PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a feature data extraction method for extracting the feature data of the closed curve so as to utilize the curve feature of an object. SOLUTION: The closed curve is divided into a 'large closed curve' and a 'small closed curve' by the number of points for constituting closed curve data which are the set of the respective points provided with three-dimensional coordinates as data (S11). In the case of the 'large closed curve', the equivalent ellipse is calculated (S12 and S13) and the data of the equivalent ellipse or the like are extracted as the feature data (S14 and S15). Also, in the case of the 'small closed curve', a rectangle for which respective sides surrounding it are parallel to an axis is calculated and the center position of the rectangle is extracted as the feature data (S16). |
