PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a purchaser from recognizing a shoplifting finding function and to eliminate the seal sticking work of a shop clerk. SOLUTION: This bar code reader 5 for a shoplifting finder inputs a product and a money amount by reading a bar code including a conductor electronic circuit for finding shoplifting and a laser cautery 55 for destructing the conductor electronic circuit after the bar code is read is provided. Also, by turning the laser cautery 55 to the laser cautery 55 for generating laser beams for destructing the material of a prescribed pigment and coloring the surface of the conductor electronic circuit to the prescribed pigment, only the electronic circuit is cut without damaging a bar code surface.
