PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optically and surely read a handwritten character, etc., by heating a slip by a heating part provided in a reader so as to drop out a printing part, and then reading the slip by the sensor part of a reader. SOLUTION: The reader 10 is FAX and a part of thermal rollers R constituting the heating part 23 is arranged ion front of the sensor part 11. Namely, before reaching the sensor part 11, an original 20 passes between the thermal rollers R to be heated. This reader 10 uses a slip printed with heat discoloring ink as the original 20. In the case of FAX-OCR slip, e.g. characters, character frames, horizontal lines, etc., are printed with the heat-discoloring ink. Then when it is heated by passing between thermal rollers R being the heating part 12, the printed part is dropped out and the following sensor part 11 reads only handwritten characters and marks. |
