PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To directly write the inspection record of a storage battery on this inspection record display part, by relatively increasing the surface roughness of the inspection record display part than that of a lid located in the periphery of the inspection record display part. SOLUTION: In a storage battery 1, an inspection record display part 4, for displaying an inspection record, is provided on the given position of a lid 3 surface. The display part 4 is formed on the lid 3 surface by selectively applying satin finish treatment, to relatively increase the surface roughness of the display part 4 than that of the lid 3 located in the periphery of the display part 4. When sulfuric acid in a battery jar 2 is leaked on the lid 3 surface, the trouble of peeling, like in sealing, is not caused, also missing of the letters, written directly on the display part 4 by a pencil or a ball-point pen or the like can be hardly occurring, thereby the reliability of the inspection record display part can be enhanced. |
