PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently remove static electricity without flawing a handrail, by connecting the handrail and a frame of escalator or the like by a conductor wire or the like easily guiding static electricity. SOLUTION: A hand frame 1 of an escalator and a frame 2 of an escalator main unit are connected by a conductor 3 easily guiding static electricity. In connection of the handrail frame 1 and the conductor 3, the conductor 3 is placed in a manner interposing it between the handrail frame 1 and a handrail panel 4, in connection of the conductor 3 and the escalator frame 2, the conductor is wound to be fixed to a bolt or the like. Static electricity accumulated in a handrail 5 and the handrail frame 1 can be easily economically earthed by the conductor 3 to the escalator frame 2 without being touched by an escalator utilizing passenger. When the conductor 3 is mounted in a clearanceδof the handrail panel 4, a problem on designing is also solved.
