The invention describes a method of granulating the mineral slag coming from the nickel electro-furnaces at the LARKO metallurgical factory by use of fresh water. Until now granulation of the mineral slag has been done using sea water. However the resulting sand-blasting material contains salt and consequently the salty sand- blasting material is unsuitable for paints. However by granulation with fresh water a pure sand-blasting material is produced suitable for sand blasting for paint. |
