The receptacle is supplied as a rectangular sheet of plastic foil with cut-outs and protrusions. The user first detaches two breakaway sections (4) from the edge of the sheet. The sheet is rolled to form a cylinder (1) and the ears (2) on one end are inserted into pre-cut slots near the other edge of the sheet. The toggles (5) on the ends of the breakaway sections are keyed into tapered slots at the base of the tube, to form cross bars. Used newspapers are lightly rolled and inserted in the upper end of the tube. The newspapers unroll against the side of the tube, leaving central space for the insertion of more newspapers.
