PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent particles from being generated at the time of allowing the component to slide by forming a specific alloy film on the sliding surface of a stainless steel sliding component main body, that is brought into sliding contact with another stainless steel component, so that the alloy crystal structure of the film consists of a prescribed phase. SOLUTION: In the manufacture of this component, an Ag-In alloy film which consists of 25 to 35wt.% In and the balance Ag with inevitable impurities and has preferably 0.4 to 2.0μm film thickness, is formed. Preferably then, the alloy film temp. is maintained at 300 to 600 deg.C for 0.5 to 5hr and thereafter, the heated alloy film is rapidly cooled to form a crystal structure consisting of aζphase, i.e., a closest-packed hexagonal crystal structure. As a result, at the time of allowing the component to slide, a slip is caused within each of the Ag-In crystals to bring about a self-lubricating effect of the alloy film and thereby to prevent wear from being caused and also to prevent particles from being generated. |
