PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an overvoltage protective device in which direct application of an AC of 100V on a game machine such as a Japenese pinball game machine (Pachinko) by mistake can be avoided to prevent breakage, which can be composed compact to achieve low power consumption, and which is provided with advantages such as automatic restoration. SOLUTION: A device is provided with an electromagnetic switch 4 having a normally opened type contact 3 provided in an AC power supply circuit 2 of a game machine 1, a rectifier circuit 5 connected to the primary side of the normally opened type contact 3, a voltage signal generating circuit 6 to output a voltage signal for a high voltage when an output voltage of the rectifier circuit 5 is a normal voltage, and a voltage signal for a low voltage when it is an abnormal high voltage, and a voltage signal determination circuit 7 for the voltage signal generating circuit 6. It is also provided with an electromagnetic switch drive circuit 8 to apply the output voltage of the rectifier circuit 5 to an electromagnetic coil in the electromagnetic switch 4 through a thyristor to actuate the normally opened type contact 3 when the voltage signal determination circuit 7 determines it as the normal voltage. |
