PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the slip of a recording medium and a roller and to impart a good transfer image. SOLUTION: When a roller 2 is rotationally moved on a recording medium by its surface 51 high in the coefficient of friction without being slipped, the rotational speed of the roller 2 is detected by an encoder and a photointerruptor and an ink jet recording head forms a mirror transfer image on the water repelling surface 50 of the roller 2 in a predetermined timing on the basis of the rotational speed and the mirror transfer image formed on the water repelling surface 50, of the roller 2 is transferred to a recording medium to form a predetermined image on the recording medium.
