PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the error at the time of a read/write operation and also to perform a controlling in an adjustment stage more precisely by adapatively setting and controlling recording current to an optimum state so as to be matched to characteristics of a head and a disk. SOLUTION: Recording data are recorded on a disk 10 by allowing a read/ write circuit 16 connected to a head 12 to pre-amplify the signal picked up by the head 12 and to impress an analog signal to a read/write channel circuit 18 at the time of a read-out operation in such a way and by allowing the circuit 16 to impress a recording current by encoded data to be applied from the read/ write channel circuit 18 on the head 12 at the time of a recording operation.
