A first end section 36 of the stent 10 has cylindrical elements 12 thicker than the central section 37, and the first end section 36 is stronger than the central section 37 and a second end section 38 and has a high pressing resistance to the return of an artery. Each pair of the mutually connecting element 13 arranged on one side of the cylindrical elements 12 are arranged so as to provide the maximum flexibility of the stent.</p>
