PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep the radial rigidity of the center part of a stent and facilitate the feeding into a blood vessel by making a first end section into an opened lattice structure thicker than the central section or a second end section SOLUTION: A stent 10 mounted on a delivery catheter 11 has a plurality of radially extensible cylindrical elements 12, and the cylindrical element 12 are substantially concentrically arranged, and mutually connected by elements 13 arranged between the adjacent cylindrical elements 12. A first end section 36 of the stent 10 has cylindrical elements 12 thicker than the central section 37, and the first end section 36 is stronger than the central section 37 and a second end section 38 and has a high pressing resistance to the return of an artery. Each pair of the mutually connecting element 13 arranged on one side of the cylindrical elements 12 are arranged so as to provide the maximum flexibility of the stent.
