MATTED METHACRYLIC ESTER RESIN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a methacrylic ester resin which can give matted films, sheets and moldings having excellent impact strengths and heat distortion resistance and has excellent processability. SOLUTION: This resin is obtained by polymerizing 2-50 pts.wt. monomer mixture (B) comprising 99.9-60wt.% alkyl methacrylate and/or alkyl acrylate and 0.1-40wt.% epoxy vinyl monomer in the presence of 5-40 pts.wt. acrylic ester elastomer (A) comprising 60wt.% or above alkyl acrylate and 40wt.% or below alkyl methacrylate and polymerizing 93-10 pts.wt. (the total of components A, B and C being 100 pts.wt.) monomer mixture (C) comprising 60wt.% or above alkyl methacrylate and 40wt.% or below alkyl acrylate.
