PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lower the inner resistance and improve the electrolyte absorption property and electrolyte keeping property, and also, improve voltage keeping property, by making a separator of a glass fiber sheet, and making the glass fiber sheet contain glass fiber of specified value in fiber diameter by wt% in the range of specified value. SOLUTION: A separator 8 is arranged between a pair of polarizing electrodes 1 and 5. The polarizing electrodes 1 and 5 are joined with the case 3 and the lid 4 of a metallic container by conductive adhesive 2, and it is impregnated with nonaqueous electrolyte 7 after drying, and it is housed in a metallic container consisting of the case 3 and the lid 4. The case 3 and the lid 4 are calked through an insulating packing 9 for sealing. Here, paper made of glass short fibers is used as the glass fiber sheet of the separator 8. For the diameter of the fiber, it shall contain the glass fiber 1μm in diameter by 2-60wt.%.
