PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device such as a copying machine or a facsimile equipment constituted so that the splash of developer and a stained image are eliminated and a clear image obtained by reducing deviation and irregularities is formed. SOLUTION: By making the width in the shaft direction of a contact electrostatic charge member 11 which can be charged shorter than the whole length of a developer carrier 6 and longer than the width of the carrier 6 coated with developer 2, the splash of the developer 2 and the staining of the image are prevented from occurring. By using a helical gear being photoreceptor gear 17 integrally rotated with a photoreceptor drum 9, providing the end surface of the drum 9 with a brake member 19 functioning as a brake and making the press-contact direction of the brake member 19 reverse to the direction of the thrust component of driving force added to the gear 17, the image forming device always forming the clear image without the deviation and the irregularities is obtained. |
