PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an IC card main body from being applied with mechanical load and, in addition, recorded informations from being read out or altered improperly by a method wherein selective switches become operable only when the IC card main body comes into contact with an IC card case. SOLUTION: An IC card case 4 is equipped with a card insertion hole 6 and selective switches 8. The importance is that the operation of change-over switches 7 can only be operable only by the selective switches 8. The three change-over switches consist of pressure sensors respectively having the intrinsic resonance frequencies in the frequency range of 50-10Hz. For example, the change-over switch corresponding to a first memory has the resonance frequency of 5Hz, that to a second memory has the resonance frequency of 7Hz and that to a third memory has the resonance frequency of 10Hz. Under the condition that an IC card main body 1 is housed in the card insertion hole, vibrators acting with the selective switches are arranged at the positions opposing to the pressure sensors of the change-over switches 7 so as to come into contact with the pressure sensors. |
