<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable transfer of only normal bar materials to a transporting belt to the next manufacturing operation by providing a transfer head which separates a dividing belt from the transporting belt and travels between the two belts for transferring normal bar materials. SOLUTION: A dividing belt 1 and a transporting belt 3 are separately provided. A transfer head 4 which travels between a lower belt 1b of the dividing belt 1 and the transporting belt 3 is provided. The transfer head 4 moves from the transporting belt 3 to the dividing belt 1 with its stopper 5 hitting the right and left ends of a front selvage bar t1 of bars t', t1 ', t2 ' and t3 ' which are at rest on the lower belt 1b and moving them so that the material bar t' on the rear of the front selvage bar t1 ' and the rear selvage bar t2 ' may be in intimate contact and in parallel with each other. At the same time, the transfer head 4 places the right and left ends of only the material bar t' on the placing rail 6 and then rises with leaving behind the front and rear selvage bars t1 ' and t2 ' and the broken material bar t3 ' and moves on the transporting belt 3. The transfer head 4 then descends to transfer the material bar t' to the transporting belt 3 and moves back again to the lower belt 1b. The transfer head 4 repeats these movements.</p> |
