PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the reduction of artifacts and to provide proper balance between the reduction of the artifacts and a slice profile by identifying a corrected weighting coefficient based on a helical weighted coefficient and applying the weighting coefficient to image pickup data. SOLUTION: An image reconstitution device 34 receives sampled and digitized X-ray data from a data gathering system(DAS) 32 and performs high-speed image reconstitution. At the time, the weighting coefficient is applied to projection data so as to reconstitute images. The helical weighting coefficient is corrected corresponding to a gantry angle β and a detector angle γ according to an expression. Thus, the reduction of the artifacts in multi-slice type helical image reconstitution is achieved. Such algorithm does not substantially increase processing time and provides the proper balance between the reduction of the artifacts and the slice profile. |
