PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet-recording method capable of realizing an excellent image without irregularly printing even on a recycled paper by printing by means of allowing a reaction solution which possesses a respectively specific composition and an ink composition to adhere with a recording medium. SOLUTION: Printing carried out by allowing (A) a reaction solution and (B) an ink composition to adhere with a recording medium. The component A contains a polyvalent metal salt and/or a polyallylamine. The component B contains at least a coloring agent (preferably a pigment), an inorganic oxide colloid (preferably a colloidal silica) and an aqueous solvent. The component B preferable contains additionally a saccharide and further an epoxy moiety- containing resin emulsion and/or a water-soluble epoxy compound.
