PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a highly durable light-emitting element capable of high- luminance light emission even at a low voltage by using a light emitting element in which a substance which comprises specified repeating structures and controls light emission is sandwiched between the positive and negative electrodes. SOLUTION: This element is one in which a substance which controls light emission is sandwiched between the positive and negative electrodes and which emits light when electrically energized and contains an oligomer or polymer comprising repeating units represented by formula I (wherein R<1> to R<12> are at least one type of substituents selected from among H, alkyls, aralkyls, aryls, cycloalkyls, fluoroalkyls, amino, halogens, nitros, cyanos, hydroxyls and alkoxyls; and the average degree of polymerization is 2-1,000). A light emitting element in which the oligomer or polymer comprises repeating units represented by formula II (wherein R<1> to R<12> are at least one type of substituents selected from among hydrogen atoms, alkyls and alkoxyls; and the average degree of polymerization is 2-1,000) is desirable. |
