PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an inexpensive liquid crystal polyester resin composition capable of giving injection molded products which retain the excellent heat resistance and mechanical properties inherent in the liquid crystal polyester and is excellent in molding processability and impact resistance and improved in anisotropy, and also capable of giving films which are excellent in film formability, gas barrier properties, drawability, flexural resistance and pinhole resistance and also good in molding processability and high in surface tension. SOLUTION: This liquid crystal polyester resin composition comprises (A) 56.0-99.9wt.% of a liquid crystal polyester as the continuous phase and (B) 44.0-0.1wt.% of a rubber bearing functional group reactive with the component A as the disperse phase. This composition is obtained by kneading the components A and B together in a molten state. The objective injection molded product and film are obtained from this composition, respectively. |
