PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the scattering of ink at the time of the peeling of a seal material. SOLUTION: A seal material 7 peeled at a time of use is bonded to the ink supply port 5 of a cartridge main body 3 in a peelable manner on the side of the outer wall surface of the main body 3 to cut off the interior of the ink cartridge from the outside. An ink absorbing member 8 absorbing the excessive ink from an ink occluding member 2 is provided to the part positioned on the side of the ink supply port 5 of the seal material 7. The ink absorbing member 8 is positioned within the ink supply port 5 in such a state that the seal material 7 is bonded so as to leave a gap 9 with respect to the ink occluding member 2. The ink absorptivity of the ink occluding member 2 is about 80% and that of the ink absorbing member 8 is 30-50% and the ink absorbability of the ink absorbing member 8 is inferior to that of the ink occluding member 2 and it is prescribed that the ink absorbing member 8 absorbs ink positively from the ink occluding member 2. |
