To control a spinning operation composed of a number of spinning machines, each with a number of spinning stations, the data exchange is on a number of communication levels (j,j+1...m). The protocol is structured to transfer and exchange operating data and measured values from the higher plane (j+1) to the lower plane (j). Also claimed is a control network where on communication plane (j,j+1....m) has a bus backplane where a number of components and especially CPU's are interlinked. Pref. a standard protocol is used, and especially TCP/IP, suitable for multiprocessors. The lower communication plane (j) has a number of CPU's as a multiprocessor plane, and the higher planes (j+1....m) are connected to the still higher plane (j+2) through a router (R). The highest plane (j+2) is connected to the host (M) system control. The lower plane (j) has a bus with a coupled control to the upper plane (j+1) and/or a separate router (R) leading to the upper plane (j+2). The bus backplane is a multi-layer board suitable for multiprocessors, with a number of component plug sites, containing at least one spinning machine control and a yarn monitor, for a number of spinning stations. The upper planes are network-oriented, with a coupling channel for measured values and commands. Each bus backplane is connected to a spinning machine.
|
