PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly output the image corresponding to the movement of a visual point and the change in the visual point direction of a viewer by detecting the position of eyes of the viewer or the like and re-configuring an image viewed by the viewer with a plurality of images. SOLUTION: The image processing unit is made up of a reference point locus detection section 50 and an on-demand interpolation display section 60. The on-demand interpolation display section 60 has a data input section 30, a reference point locus interpolation section 31, an image display section 33, and a view point position input section 32. Then the data input section 30 receives parametric data from a file 40. The reference point locus interpolation section 31 interpolates a reference point locus of the data entry section 30 based on the actual view point of the viewer (received by the view point position entry section 32 from a detector 80) to generate an image viewed from the view point. The stereoscopic image thus generated is displayed on a screen 70 by the image display section 33. |
