PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent surface staining from occurring without exerting an effect on a developing characteristic by movably arranging a second toner carrying means so that the biting quantity thereof with respect to a first toner carrying means is not changed but the biting quantity with respect to a photoreceptor is changed. SOLUTION: An intermediate roller 4 interposed between a developing roller 2 and the photoreceptor 5 is constituted of an elastic body such as rubber so as to bite the roller 2 and the photoreceptor 5. A curved notched part 4a is formed at the center of the roller 4 and a bearing member 11 is engaged with the notched part 4a. The orbit of the bearing member 11 is formed so that a circle is drawn by the center of the roller 4 with respect to the center 2a of the roller 2. In such a way, the bearing member 11 is constituted so that it can be moved on the side surface of a developing unit and only the biting quantity with respect to the photoreceptor 5 is corrected. |
