The light box manufacturing process involves cutting a rectangular piece from a sheet of material. The piece is divided into two roughly equal parts (2,3), and the first part (2) is pressed to form a trough (4). A transverse slot (7) is cut in the second part (3), adjacent to the trough. The second part is now folded back over the opening at the top of the trough, forming a closed box. The fold is positioned so the slot allows passage of light from the top edge of the box parallel to the top of the box. The top of the box is pre-printed with the required markings, and printed circuit tracks are formed on its surface before fabrication. |
