PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cable stripper with a stripping length adjustment jig which stops by itself when it has done a stripping of a given length and then cuts and removes the stripped cable coating. SOLUTION: A guide shaft 6 and a pushing bar 5 are installed below a cable stripper 1. A clamp 11 which has a clamping lever 12 in its lower part is rotatably supported at the top end of the guide shaft 6 and a length adjustment jig 8 which has in its upper part an upper arm 9 which confronts the clamp 11 is fixed. When the pushing bar 5 pushes the clamping lever 12, the clamp 11 is rotated and raised, and a cable 2 is firmly held between the upper arm 9 of the length adjustment jig 8 and the clamp 11, and then a further movement of the cable stripper is stopped.
