<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide slack detector capable of remarkably improving the detecting accuracy and a controller of gap between rolling rolls capable of effectively preventing the damage of the roll. SOLUTION: The slack detector calculates the absolute value of the deviation of work side result tension and drive side result tension by tension deviation calculating means 6 based on the detected value of a tension detector 2 installed at the upstream side of a rolling mill 4, and outputs a slack generation detection signal from slack generation detecting means 7 when the absolute value of the deviation of the result tension exceeds a predetermined value. The controller of gap between rolling rolls detects the slack by using the detector, and applies the signal for releasing the gap between the rolls of the rolling mill to a hydraulic pressing unit for controlling the gap between the rolls in the degree of not generation constriction to the material to be rolled by gap between rolling rolls regulating means 9 while the scrap occurring site of the material to be rolled posses the mill.</p> |
