The present invention discloses elemental sulfur which is converted to sulfide by bioconversion-incubation in the presence of a reducing sugar with a microorganism which can be used in food, particularly bakery yeast. For the purpose of preparing a flavoring agent similar to that of toasted cheese, the incubation reaction means is heat treated. Advantageously the reaction means may be useful as a starting material for the preparation of said flavoring process, of the meat type mixed with other rich flavor precursors and/or flavor improved materials. |
