PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical system cooling device for an image forming device simple in constitution and capable of appropriately cooling the optical system for the image forming device if necessary, preventing fine dust and fine powder from entering into the device inside, minimizing energy consumption and restraining noise. SOLUTION: This optical system cooling device is provided with one or more cooling fans 20 and 21, and a static preventive filter on an outside air flow-in path of the cooling fans 20 and 21 to control the drive of the cooling fans 20 and 21 by the voltage of variable two or more steps. Also, the device is provided with a cooling fun drive control means 19 for driving one or more cooling fans 20 and 21 at a specified voltage, when the applying voltage becomes equal to or above a specific value, or the number of copies becomes equal to or above the specific value by using the applying voltage and the number of copies adjustably set by a light source control device 17 as input information. |
