PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a burden of a drive circuit by suppressing in low level an electrostatic capacity of an electrode provided on a substrate. SOLUTION: In a plasma display panel having a compound electrode comprising a transparent electrode 19 provided on a substrate and a bus electrode 17 piled on this transparent electrode, a constitution is formed by providing an insulation layer or high resistance electrode layer in the bus electrode 17. Electrostatic capacity of the electrode is decreased, according to this reduction, a current flowing in a driven circuit at drive time is decreased, so that the driven circuit can be simplified, reduction of a cost of the panel can be attained. |
