PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IC socket requiring no insertion and extraction force dealing with high frequency capable of surely matching the characteristic impedance value and reducing crosstalks. SOLUTION: An IC socket 10 has an upward member 12 and a downward member 16 mutually fixed and an intermediate member 18 set up in a space between these members in a slidable manner. In plural acceptances 32 which consist of upward through-holes 26, downward through-holes 28 and intermediate through-holes 30 in the upward member 12, the downward member 16 and the intermediate member 18, respectively, plural contacts 36 connected to plural leads for an IC device are accepted. The intermediate member 18 is formed of electrically conductive material. Conductive peripheral walls 80 are formed over almost all peripheries of the intermediate through-holes 30. The conductive peripheral walls 80 are electrically connected to a ground contact 36g. Electrically insulating spaces 86 molded separately from the intermediate member 18 are laid between the conductive peripheral wall 80 and a signal contact 36s. |
