<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the capacity of valid data recordable into a recording medium by removing invalid data from the framing data of a fixed length format to which framing processing is performed. SOLUTION: The framing data of the fixed length format from an input terminal 20 are supplied to an invalid data detection circuit 22 and when all the 16 bits in one piece of data are '0', these data are decided as invalid data. At a write enable signal generation circuit, a write enable signal is generated from an invalid data discrimination signal and a mask signal from an OR gate 27 and supplied to a buffer memory 41a at a hard disk recorder 41. Based on this enable signal, the buffer memory 41a records data only when the input signal of a data input terminal Din is the valid data at a certain part of the mask signal added with the length of the valid data that the part of the invalid data is removed. Thus, the invalid data part in the recorded data can be reduced and the capacity of the hard disk can be economized.</p> |
