The invention discloses a method comprising the following steps: preparing a coating in the form of a paste with predetermined rheological characteristics of plasticity and viscosity such that once applied to the surface (32), the coating adheres and remains fixed thereto and substantially preserves the shape given to it; putting the said paste under pressure in a duct (8) leading into a guiding chamber (33) which is moved along a surface (32) in a predetermined direction (10) along a generatrix (D); the guiding chamber (33) is open towards the surface to be coated and has, in its portion opposite to the direction of movement, an outlet (42) located substantially in a plane perpendicular to the surface (32) to be coated and has in that plane the cross-sectional shape of the required strip (32a). |
