PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To incorporate a solar battery in a solar battery timepiece without using a base plate. SOLUTION: The timepiece is provided with a back cover 10, a case 12, a movement 14 and a dial plate 16 and a solar battery 18 which are held on a base plate 14a stored in the case 12 and a windshield glass 20 which is engaged to the case 12. Plural projected movement receiving sections 12b are provided at the important sections of the inner wall of a body section 12a of the case 12 and translucent sections 22a and 22b are provided to the plate 14a and the periphery of the plate 16 to introduce light beams to the battery 18. The inner periphery of the battery 18 is slightly larger than the outer shape of the movement 14 and is shaped in a ring form, has solar battery electrodes 24 provided on the important sections and is provided at the outer periphery of the cover 10. The surface opposing to the plate 14a of the movement 14 is provided with a circuit substrate 14b having projected circuit base plate contacts 14c to introduce power from the electrodes 24 so as to engage to the contacts 14c and the electrodes 24. |
