PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use a physical slot effectively as a communication channel without the need for providing a special mobile station by stopping a logic control channel signal to a mobile station and using the physical slot as the communication channel instead. SOLUTION: In the case that a new 'link channel setup request' comes newly from a mobile station 11 to a base station 12 where a logic control channel is sent through one physical slot and the three remaining physical slots are used for communication channels, the base station 12 sends a 'link channel assignment' denoting that the physical slot having used for transmitting a logic control channel signal up to now is assigned to the mobile station 11 through an outgoing individual cell channel (SCCH) and stops the transmission of the logic control channel signal. Then synchronization burst signals are sent/received through the newly assigned physical slot as a communication channel to execute the usual setup procedure for the communication channel. In this state, the four physical slots of the base station 12 are used all for the communication channels. |
