PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To install protective pipes such as polyester pipes on an overhead distribution cable accurately and efficiently, with the pipes being connected to each other. SOLUTION: A guide bar 13 for protective pipe is passed through a nearly square cube frame 10 which has a hanging member 11. In the frame 10, a pair of feed rollers which can be rotated forwardly and reversely are installed and both sides of the guide bar 13 are pressure-contacted by the feed rollers. A stopping member 32 for protective pipe is movably installed on the center line of the guide bar 13. The rear end of a proceeding protective pipe 2 which has been carried out along the guide bar 13 from the frame 10 is stopped at a predetermined position by the stopping member 32 and the top end of a following protective pipe 2 which is carried out through the feed rollers from inside the frame 10 is fitted in with the rear end of the proceeding pipe, thereby the two pipes being connected.
