<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a toner, a developer and the like showing good image density and fog and excellent gradation by controlling the developing conditions and physical properties of a toner and a carrier to satisfy a specified relation. SOLUTION: This two-component developer is used for an electrophotographic image forming method and contains a toner and a carrier. The process speed PS, the amt. of the developer supplied, the distance d1 between a photoreceptor and a magnet roller, the developing gap d2, the ratio Lp of a resin component having the mol.wt. peak in <10000mol.wt. range in the gel permeation chromatogram of the binder resin in the toner, the toner particle size Dt, the carrier particle size Dc, the carbon amt. C0 in the carrier core, and the carbon amt. C in the coated carrier satisfy the formula. As for a preferable resin which can be used, a styrene resin, satd. or unsatd. polyester resin and epoxy resin can be used. Or, not only a single resin but two or more kinds of resins can be used.</p> |
