PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the waste of paper by detecting the presence/absence of characters in an original and to send a next original without copy output when the original is white paper so as to eliminate the output of white paper. SOLUTION: At the time of starting copying (S3-1), a front/rear identifying flag is set to be '0' (S3-2). Image data is inputted by a scanner (S3-3). Then an RGB signal inputted by the scanner is stored in an image storing part (S3-4). Next, the stored data is sent to a white paper detection part to judge whether the original is white or not (S3-5). As the front side of the original is white then, copy output is not executed but a front/rear signal is confirmed (S3-7). As the result of it, as the side is judged to be front, the original is turned over by means of ADF (S3-10). Next the rear side of the original is scanned to similarly detect white paper (S3-5). As the rear side is also white then, copy output is not executed (S3-7). |
