COIL BLOCK FOR HIGH FREQUENCY LIGHTING DISCHARGE LAMP

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the efficiency of magnetizm passing through a coupling coil into a lamp for more heat conductivity in a coil block for a high frequency lighting discharge lamp. SOLUTION: A coil block is provided with a copper or aluminum cylinder 4 which is small in diameter (d) at a part wound by a coil 2 ranging from the end to a length L position and larger in diameter D than in diameter (d) at a part ranging from the lower end of the length L position therelow. A socket 3 covered with heat resistant plastic material is formed outside the cylinder 4 and elastic adhesive 6 with iron powder and silicone rubber mixed is filled in a cavity 5 between the socket 3 and the cylinder 4. The outside of the coil 2 wound on the socket 3 is covered with a copper or aluminum foil 9 and shielded, the shielded portion being grounded with a base 7 on which a heat radiation fin 8 is provided.
