<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable simple input processing excluding a simple error such as a typing error by incorporating a means, with which a code printed on the surface of paper is automatically recognized, into a pointing device such as a mouse. SOLUTION: A moving amount detecting part 11 detects a moving amount at the time of operating a pointing device 1 by a user and outputs a signal corresponding to that moving amount. Besides, a detecting signal processing part 13 processes an electric signal outputted by a signal intensity detection part 12 corresponding to the black/white of the code printed on paper and outputs an ASCII code of a character corresponding to the code. Namely, this detecting signal processing part 13 is operated synchronously with a pulse of an electric signal (y) in (y) direction outputted from the moving amount detecting means 11, analyzes the pattern of black/white signal system of printed code outputted by the signal intensity detecting part 12 and converts it to the ASCII code of the correspondent character string. When the pointing device 1 is scanned in -y direction, recognizing processing is performed in the order of scanning.</p> |
