<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease spent of a carrier even when the carrier is used for a long time and to prevent decrease in the charge amt. by coating the carrier core material with materials having different triboelectrification ability along the thickness direction of a resin coating layer in such a manner that the coating material near the carrier core has the higher triboelectriflcation ability. SOLUTION: In a dry two-component developer carrier having a resin coating layer on a core material, the carrier core is coated with coating materials having different triboelectrification ability in the thickness direction of the resin layer in such a manner that the material near the carrier core has the higher triboelectrification ability. In this method, the coating material which constitutes the resin coating layer is a silicone resin, and the compsn. of the silicone resin differs along the thickness direction of the coating layer. The material nearer to the carrier core has such a compsn. that has the higher triboelectrification ability. Thereby, electrification ability in the depth direction (near the core material) in the carrier coating layer can be increased and the obtd. carrier has a long life and good electrification stability.</p> |
