PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation method and an operation device in which average power generation efficiency over the whole running hour is enhanced, and durability is extended in a fuel cell power generation device. SOLUTION: A fuel cell power generation device is provided with a fuel cell power generation portion S to which gas containing oxygen and fuel gas are fed so as to generate electric power and a cooling means W which cools the fuel cell power generation portion S. In the operation device of the fuel cell power generation device, a control means 30 is provided for controlling a cooling means W so that the temperature of the fuel cell power generation portion S becomes lower than the temperature of an operation at the maximum setting value of power generation efficiency in order to lessen the power generation efficiency than the maximum setting value in an early stage of running. |
