The keyboard stand (30) includes a base (31) having a floor and a pair of side walls. Each wall has a number of apertures (315) defined along a greater portion of its length from a first end of an inner face and a bore (317) defined adjacent to a second end of the inner face. A coupling device, e.g a screw (31), connects the base to the bottom of the keyboard. A support has two wings (321,322) hinged together. One of the wings has a pair of arms laterally extending out from opposite sides of a free end to pivotally extend into the bores of the base. The second wing has a pair of limbs laterally protruding out from a free end to retainably engage with one pair of the apertures. Each aperture may have a notch defined in a periphery defining the aperture to facilitate the engagement with the limbs of the second wing.
