PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the code reader and card type medium which enables a child to have a feeling of reality or an actual experience artificially as it the child were conducting an experiment of science, when this device is used for the experiment of science, and can be used extremely preferably to develop the creative power and an inquiring mind. SOLUTION: When a card of 'mixing' as a generation indication card type medium where a dot code specifying a way of generating different information is inserted after a card of 'substance A' and a card of 'substance D' as card type media on which multimedia information is recorded in the form of dot codes respectively are inserted into a code reader, a different information generation part of the code reader generates and outputs different multimedia information (e.g. text data on the color, property, usage, etc., of a substance H, an image of the substance H, etc.) which is never generated with the dot codes alone recorded on the cards of 'substance A' and 'substance D' to an output part. |
